Judge Rules in Favor of Ultra, but “We the People” will have the Final Say

Statement from BHA President:

Today Circuit County Judge Rodolfo Ruiz ruled in favor of the City in regards to the lease agreement with Ultra, alleged that Ultra had spent already lost of money, lots of ticket holders, $2 million committed to the African American Virginia Key Foundation, allowed a team of lawyers from Ultra to defense the complaint along with the team of lawyers from the City.

Many thanks to our legal counsel Mr. David Winker who did extraordinary work, to my BHA colleagues who accompanied Juan Cordoba and Alejandro Martinez, and to Key Biscayne Councilman Ignacio Segurola.

Many thanks also to my friend Ada Rojas, my BHA colleague Robert Green, and to the many Brickell residents for their encouragement and support.

BHA will continue advocating for whatever is right and the best for our community, and as I stated at the court house at the end of the session: “We The People will go to the polls”.

At the end of the day, “We The People” will prevail.

Help BHA and the rest of our Brickell neighbors send a message to our elected officials that we are serious about protecting our “quality of life” by participating in a “live” grassroots noise/nuisance study. As the Ultra Festival approaches we encourage you to take videos of the noise/nuisance created before (sound checks), during and/or after the event and share them and your concerns with our elected officials. Below you will find the contact information where you can contact and tag our local leaders so they can personally get the “Ultra” experience.
