Pooch Parade Presents Outstanding Pups & Pals

Thank you to all our Brickell Neighbors and friends who came out for the Brickell Pooch Parade, Brickell’s doggie costume contest and parade held at Mary Brickell Village on October 25. An amazing 37 pooch-pal pairs participated in this first-of-its-kind event for Brickell, which was underwritten by BHA in partnership with our long-time BHA members at Mary Brickell Village and DowntownMiami.com, along with It’s Always  Sunny Dog Walkers, Vitamin C Group and Brickell and KB Moms. Mary Brickell Village provided the perfect venue, and the merchants were great partners.

DJ Vertigo and Master of Ceremonies Michael Gongora

Master of Ceremonies Michael Gongora, attorney with Becker & Poliakoff, and Miami fave DJ Vertigo from Vitamin C set the mood to make the day one to remember. Thank you to both for donating their time and talent to this community event!

Great prizes were awarded from favorite MBV merchants and restaurants in several categories, including Best Pooch-Pal Costume Duo, Most Star-Studded Pooch, Pooch-Pal Look-Alike, Best-Dressed Pooch, and Best in Show.

Quinn, dressed as an Elvis impersonator, won Best in Show.

The judges had their work cut out for them as all the contestants were outstanding. Thank you to Commissioner Sarnoff for loaning us his very discerning and fashion-forward wife Teresa Sarnoff to judge, who joined BHA President Gail Feldman and Stephanie Levine of It’s Always Sunny Dog Walkers at the judge’s table.

The Best in Show prize went to Elvis impersonator Quinn, a mini Schnauzer escorted by his pal Vera. Congratulations Quinn! They won the grand prize of 3 days/2 nights at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental on Brickell Key hotel, including their MO Pet program which promises to pamper this prize-winning pooch (and Vera, too).

Special thanks to all our generous prize sponsors who made the day extra fun!
